She is the one and only HR DON.. Yes, HR don, because she feels that its only her.. and her that all should look upon when need arises. Though she doesn't know much about HR, but she got promoted to this position only because of her tenure and contacts within the organisation. GOD SAVE THE ORGANISATION.. & GOD SAVE JAGAN...

Jagan - Juhi's assistant.. From some time, Juhi is feeling that Jagan is getting more prominence in the organisation. And why not, its only Jagan who empathize with employees, its him who provide employee friendly solutions. He doesn't keep things lingering. He closes all issues on time. And thats why, most of the employees feel more comfortable with him. Anyways, Jagan is only an assistant manager - HR, and Juhi is Head HR.. Still she is getting insecure. Now thats really absurd. Isn't it.

But believe me, this is reality of many organisations, where people feel insecure of their subordinates and create blockages so the subordinate doesn't grow within the organisation. Unfortunately, they forget that one can hide a rose, but can not hide fragrance of a rose.

Jumping Juhi does not want to work with Donkeys (Her Team)

Jumping Juhi has a team of ten employees based all over India, and rather than encouraging team bonding, she always wants them to compete among themselves. A healthy competition is always good, but this is turning out to be a sad affair with the department productivity going down.

When Jagan - assistant to Juhi discussed this with her, he got the reply that competition is good. Jagan understands that competition is good but not of the level where department synergy and productivity is lost.

To improve the productivity, Jumping Juhi has implemented following measures
- Daily concall at 9.00 am in the morning
- Daily concall at 6.00 pm in the evening
- Daily reporting at 2.00 pm in the evening

If team only keeps on reporting, when would they work? HR work is not like BPO, its not just numbers and data. There is lot of qualitative measures involved in HR, which is not being taken into consideration by my jumping Juhi.

Also in every call the language being used by Jumping Juhi is threatening and now a days abusive as well. How can a leader speaks of firing her complete team in each and every call. When she says that she would prefer hiring from outside than working with donkeys, team not only gets demotivated but also negative attitude creeps in.

When you get threatened on every con call daily, then the whole intent of threatening is lost. I doubt if this team can make successful HR department together..

Hey All,

Its long since i have written here anything. Life is too hectic workwise. I would write about that later, but lets see whats jumping juhi doing now a days. To tell you all, she is still the same ignorant HR person, who tries to be know all but then where would she hide her ignorance. So here are few of the things which she has done in last few months.

1. Called for a meeting with all business heads, and then chickened out at the last moment not even informing them that she is sending Jagan (Her subordinate) as her replacement.

2. Not able to decide and freeze various basic HR processes such as, recruitment process, onboarding and exit process.

3. Putting her own foot in her mouth at all important meetings, where business has started talking openly about her approach of all words and no deed .

But dont worry, despite all the above things, jumping juhi is still flourishing in her job and would keep on entertaining all of you with her activities.

Jumping Juhi - Unplanned

Jumping Juhi actually jumps the gun, without even knowing what she is doing. This time, she went to meet the business head, who has joined recently and committed a recruitment plan without even giving a thought to it. She is overzealous to meet the business demands and in the process, she forgets what she is landing in.. "Overcommitted and under delivered" has become her tag line.

While discussing the recruitment plan, she got excited and committed that we will hire 100 candidates in 15 days. Now, she could have asked the business head about the phase wise hiring. But NO... She doesn't understand things. She just want to proove that she can deliver to business whatever they want. Now recruiting 100 GOOD java developers with 3 - 4 yrs exp in 15 days with a tight budget of just 3 lakh pa is difficult for sure. But who will tell our jumping juhi.

She just have to commit things to business. And now when it will not happen, she will blame her team for non performance. She should know if she is giving any realistic targets or not. CAN SOMEBODY TELL HER.. recruitment plan means a plan.. phase wise, date wise targets.. its not like hiring 100 java developers at a tight budget in 15 days.

Jumping Juhi – Long weekend wasted by working on Saturday

Its Dussehra Today. In India, it is one of the big festivals, celebrated all across India and because of this we had three days weekend. But Jumping Juhi again.. Unfortunately I worked even on Saturday and enjoyed only two days as weekend. I don’t know why but she always like working on weekends. She not only work herself but also make all of us work.

I do not mind working on a Saturday, if it is really required. My job is not a very high pressure one, though sometimes there is work pressure. But why I have to waste my long weekend by working on a Saturday for someone else. When questioned about our working saturday, she justified that we will get two holidays anyways, so we can work on Saturday and this justification was really irritating.

The topping on the cake was, even after calling all of us she did nothing much. We were sitting there her personal assistants and she was wasting time, talking to people here and there. The actual productivity for the whole day was just two hours.

Jumping Juhi - Idea show off @ last minute

Since last one month Jumping juhi knew about this occassion, when the old guy in our organisation was about to retire. I asked so many times for the approval for the expenses so accordingly we can plan for the celebration. But always she ignores, showing her business.

And today in front of complete business group, Juhi jumped, showing as if she is the only person who cares about the employees. She ordered me to arrange for the celebration, as if she has just got the brilliant idea and all other are fools who never thought of this.

Today is wednesday and the celebration is scheduled for friday. Now i only have one day left for all preparation.

Why cant she give me enough time to plan and perform....

Jumping Juhi - My Office.. My Home..

Jumping Juhi spends most of the time meeting people. She talk.. talks.. and talks.. like she has a free cell phone sim connection fitted inside.

Once she completed talking with all the people (which may or may not be work related) by 6 pm in the evening, she takes her team to task.

Nobody knows why she behaves like this. If she is born like this or has become like this. But one thing is sure she likes the office very much. Either she saves her residence’s electricity bill or she saves the cooking cost , but she spends most of the waking hours in the office. She reaches office by 9.00am in the morning, meet all people, do lots and lots of gossip, eat like there is no tomorrow and start work only at 6.00 pm in the evening.

The complete team is really fed up with this behaviour of jumping juhi.
